The idea for The Trusted Teacher came from my own experience as a teacher.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve often looked for ways to earn a little extra money. Over the years, I’ve started several small businesses including a car detailing business to an education consulting idea to U.S. History for Expats, an online education business I still run today.

Along the way, I realized something: teachers have an incredible range of skills that go far beyond the classroom. We’re dependable, resourceful, good problem-solvers, and used to helping people get things done.

At the same time, families are constantly looking for people they can trust to help with everyday jobs such as tutoring, pet care, yard work, assembling furniture, technology help, and dozens of other things.

The Trusted Teacher grew out of a simple idea: Why not connect the two?

Teachers can earn extra income using the skills they already have, and families can get a helping hand from someone they can trust.
